Marc Renz Apelacio serves as the Worship Team Musical Director of Step Up Church, where he uses his musical gifts, leadership, and passion for worship to help create a powerful and Christ-centered worship experience for the church family.
With a heart for both God and music, Marc provides musical direction and coordination for the worship team, working alongside vocalists, musicians, and ministry leaders to prepare songs, develop arrangements, and ensure that the team serves together with unity and excellence. He plays an important role in helping the worship ministry grow not only musically, but also spiritually.
For Marc, worship is more than simply getting the right notes and chords—it is about pointing people to Jesus. He believes that music can open hearts, strengthen faith, and help create an environment where people can freely respond to God’s presence.
Known for his attention to musical detail and his commitment to excellence, Marc also brings a fun and approachable personality to the team. Whether he is fine-tuning an arrangement, keeping the musicians on beat, or asking everyone to “start again from the top,” he serves with dedication, humility, and plenty of patience!
As Musical Director, Marc is passionate about raising the standard of worship while keeping its true purpose at the center: to glorify Jesus Christ and lead His people into genuine, passionate, and joyful worship.
Marc considers it a privilege to serve at Step Up Church and is committed to continually growing as a worship leader, musician, and servant of God—using every note, chord, and rhythm to point people upward to Christ.
