Annabel Christi serves as the Children’s Ministry Lead at Step Up Church and actively involved in Prayer Intercessory Ministry and Online Life Group helping create a welcoming, Christ-centered, and joyful environment where adults and children can learn about Jesus, grow in faith, build friendships, and discover God’s love for their lives.

With a heart for children and a desire to serve the Lord, Annabel is committed to supporting the mission of Step Up Kids and helping make church a place where every child feels welcomed, valued, and excited to learn about God.

A Heart for Children

At the heart of Annabel’s ministry is a simple but powerful conviction: every child matters to God.

She believes that children should have the opportunity to hear the Gospel, learn God’s Word, experience Christian community, and begin developing a personal relationship with Jesus from an early age.

Her desire is to help create an environment where children can worship, learn, ask questions, participate, and grow in their understanding of who God is.

For Annabel, serving children is more than coordinating activities. It is an opportunity to help lay a spiritual foundation that can influence a child’s entire life.

Serving Through Step Up Kids

As Step Up Kids Coordinator, Annabel helps support the planning, coordination, and delivery of children’s ministry at Step Up Church.

Her role contributes to creating engaging and meaningful experiences where children can:

Learn about Jesus Christ in ways they can understand and apply.
Discover God’s Word and begin developing a biblical foundation.
Learn to pray and worship God.
Build positive Christian friendships.
Discover that they are loved and valued by God.
Develop confidence in their faith.
Participate in the life of the church.
Learn to serve and care for others.
Grow in their understanding of God’s purpose for their lives.

Annabel works to help ensure that children’s ministry is organized, welcoming, safe, engaging, and centered on Jesus.

Creating a Place to Belong

For many children, church can become one of the most meaningful communities in their formative years.

Annabel desires Step Up Kids to be a place where children know they belong.

She seeks to help create an atmosphere where children can come with excitement, make friends, learn without fear, and experience the love of Christ through caring adults and fellow children.

Her goal is for every child to leave Step Up Kids knowing:

God loves me.
Jesus loves me.
I belong here.
I can know God.
God has a purpose for my life.

Teaching Children About Jesus

Annabel recognizes the importance of presenting the Gospel in a way that children can understand while remaining faithful to God’s Word.

Through Bible lessons, activities, worship, prayer, fellowship, and age-appropriate teaching, Step Up Kids provides opportunities for children to learn foundational truths about the Christian faith.

Annabel’s desire is to help children understand not only what Christians believe, but why following Jesus matters in their everyday lives.

She believes that children can learn to pray, worship, serve, forgive, show kindness, share their faith, and follow Jesus in practical ways.

Building a Foundation of Faith

Childhood is a foundational season, and Annabel believes that investing in children is an investment in the future of the Church.

The goal of Step Up Kids is not simply to keep children occupied while adults attend church.

It is to disciple children.

Annabel desires to help children begin developing a faith that grows with them as they mature.

The lessons they learn today can become the foundation for the decisions they make tomorrow.

The prayers they learn to pray today can become the faith they carry throughout their lives.

And the relationship they begin developing with Jesus today can become the foundation of a lifelong walk with Christ.

Partnering With Families

Annabel understands that children’s spiritual development extends beyond the church gathering.

Families play a vital role in helping children grow in faith.

Through Step Up Kids, she desires to support parents and families as they seek to introduce their children to God’s Word and establish Christ-centered values in their homes.

The church and the family can work together to encourage children to know Jesus, understand Scripture, develop healthy relationships, and live out their faith.

Investing in the Next Generation

Annabel shares the conviction of Step Up Church leadership that children and young people are not merely the future of the Church—they are an important part of the Church today.

She desires to see children grow into young people who know Christ, love God’s Word, serve others, and eventually become leaders who influence their generation for Jesus.

Her ministry is therefore part of a larger vision of multiplication: planting seeds of faith in children today that can produce lasting fruit in their lives and in the generations that follow.

She believes that children’s ministry should be filled with faith, joy, creativity, friendship, biblical truth, and the love of Jesus.
